PRE-TAX OPEN ENROLLMENT October 14 – November 1

It’s that time of year again! As an employee of the State of Florida, you have a fantastic opportunity once a year to protect both yourself and your family with several Pre-Tax Supplemental Benefits. Yes, that’s right! Pre-Tax, which means you will save hundreds and, in some cases, thousands of dollars each year.* This is a cost-saving benefit for all employees of the State of Florida. *Please consult your professional tax advisor for additional information regarding Section 125/cafeteria plan savings.

All State of Florida, University, and State College Employees have ONLY THREE WEEKS to add or make changes to existing employee Pre-Tax benefits for the 2025 plan year. Capital has four areas of benefits available for you to choose from:

Dental – PTB 103 Dental insurance provides coverage that can save money and ensure a healthy mouth.

Vision – PTB 107 Vision insurance covers all or most of the cost of an eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Cancer & Intensive Care – PTB 102 Cancer and Intensive Care insurance helps offset the cost of cancer expenses and provides a lump-sum benefit for internal diagnosis.

Hospital Supplemental – PTB 101 Hospital supplemental insurance takes care of some of the hospital facility costs that your primary plan may not cover.

HOW TO ENROLL

Enroll during Open Enrollment or as a New Employee (within the first 60 days of employment). Please take a moment to review the Pre-Tax Open Enrollment Benefits Packet for an outline of the benefits available to you. You must contact the People First Service Center, toll-free 866.663.4735, or access their website at https://peoplefirst.myflorida.com to make your election.
